Segovia - More photos

Our visit to the city of Segovia provided a glimpse of the richness of our Catholic history. Centuries-old churches, cathedrals, monasteries, convents and structures are scattered throughout the streets of the city. Also, for a second day in a row, we were again blessed with the opportunity to pray before the incorrupt body of a Catholic saint, Saint John of the Cross. It was a truly wonderful experience and to be immersed in such a historical environment, we cannot help but be awed by the richness of our Catholic tradition and the magnificence of our God.

Upon arrival in Segovia, we were greeted by the towering Roman aqueduct.

The magnificent exterior of the 16th century Cathedral of Nuestra Senora dela Asuncion is rivaled only by its exquisite interior.

Before our tour of the cathedral, Archbishop Naumann celebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in this beautiful convent chapel of the Dominican sisters (Santo Domingo de Guzman Convent).

The next six photos are taken from the interior of the Cathedral in Segovia. The interior is simply amazing, and massive. Even the side chapels are a sight to behold. I took dozens of photos in this cathedral but in the interest of space and time, I will only put some of them in here. The rest, as they say, "you should see for yourself."

The next two photos are those of the Alcazar (the castle). We were allowed to go up to the tower where you can pretty much see the whole city of Segovia.  The last photo is of the Cathedral as seen from the vista point atop the tower.

Tomorrow, we travel to Toledo!
